Beg an Od, this is the name of the house
The tip of the rocky-beach, in Breton, one finds in his contracted form in Beg Nod on the road signs, which gives the name to the road of Beg Nod. We are at number 12. At the bottom of the hill, near the sea.
Mid distance between the small pretty fishing harbour of “Loguivy de la Mer” and the “Pointe de l'Arcouest” from which the boat for "Île de Bréhat" leave. Nested in the middle of the trees, the house overhangs the sea.
Beg an Od is the house where, kids, with the cousins who came to spend the holidays, we used to run everywhere, built huts, and start adventures to the wood and the moors or to the sea.
It is the house where we sheltered from the drizzle to play cards by the fireplace, eating pancakes before setting out again to have a swim, explore under wood, to tease shrimps, go sailing or windsurfing, follow footpaths which surround the house and go for picnics on the beach.
Beg an Od, it’s a house to build souvenirs. Embedded into nature, a few yards from the sea in a charming setting.
Built about 1870 on the rock on the hillside, the house consists of two “pen-ty” (houses of fisherman) joint and their dependences. We offer to rent the East part (see picture above), which was refurbished, marrying a little modernity to the charms of rusticity. The western part is reserved for our family use. The communication door between the two parts being temporarily condemned.
